The whole generation is passing through a very strange and confusing time. Many wrong thing are happening around us but the majority of us tend to ignore deliberately. Electronic media is growing habitual of creating “media hype”, even trivial matters are narrated in a  hyper way with a lot of spice. We may notice that sensitive and classified information which are not required to be revealed in the public domain, are revealed discussed in a hyper way. On several occasions, facts are distorted or produced on the direction of someone working behind the scene, they may be politicians or top bureaucrats. We may say this in another language, “electronic media is growing irresponsible”. Generally, Media operators never think it that their such behaviour would lead to a kind of negativity among the general public,  even a confused state of minds for whom it would be difficult to discriminate between right and wrong. Do they ever think that their real-time hyper broadcasting method of crime incident help criminals to change their strategy and it may sometimes prove disastrous? There are numerous instances in which criminals, militants have taken the hints from live hyper way of broadcasting which resulted in a serious loss of man and material; which could be avoided. The aftermath of the Mumbai attack questions was raised on such a method of broadcasting,  but we could not bring tangible changes. In the last few years, journalism has taken a new form which is motivated by marketing, profit-making and TRP. Saying truth, investigating truth, questioning government for its wrong move is no more the business of our new generation journalist. On various occasion, incredible stories are fabricated. As I have travelled all across India and have adequate experience and observation to say that, in the most the cases facts are not produced by so-called electronics media journalist In an exact way. Nowadays debates on TV channels are mostly conducted on pre-scripted stories and through a paid spokesperson. We may notice that  in electronic media, the dignity of the language is not being taken care of, Journalists speak whatever comes to their mind and screams on the screen in a very odd way ; the guests who are invited for live debate also forget about the ethics of debate and dignity of the language used.  Moreover, they don’t have an idea about the audiences and the negative impact on them. Sometimes, abusive language is used. This trend has created a very perplexing situation which is also responsible for the social divide among different segments of society. Government regulatory authorities are not doing anything to rein in on such fractured tendencies. It is a general perception that and this fact is known to all that favorable flatterer type electronic media houses are a means of propagating government own agenda.
